Staff Openings
Assistant to the Development Office
Peace College is seeking candidates to fill their Assistant to the Development Office position. The person in this position will report directly to the Executive Director of Development & Alumnae Affairs and be responsible for the effective administrative of the department through a wide variety of clerical, secretarial and general office duties, including those of a confidential nature. Provide exceptional administrative support within the department with the coordination and/or maintenance of projects/events, mailings, schedules and needed day to day activities. Provide outstanding customer service to both internal and external department customers in the execution of all duties and responsibilities. Minimum of 3+ years experience as an administrative assistant or other office professional; a BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience required. Ability to work collaboratively and independently with accountability. Must have strong and effective organizational skills, database administration, and intermediate or advanced experience with MS office. Part-time Security Officers
Responsibilities: Provide risk management to college campus, control traffic and property,
enforce parking and monitor daily activities of employees and visitors;
take a lead role in emergency situations. Requirements: Valid NC driver’s license, high school diploma, relevant security experience, working knowledge of Microsoft Office,
operation of security related equipment; campus security experience preferred.

Faculty Openings
Adjunct Faculty for the Adult Develpment Program
The Adult Development Program (ADP) at Peace College is an intensive, accelerated degree-completion program designed for adults. Classes meet one night a week from 6pm to 10pm for the duration of five weeks. Currently, we are seeking Adjunct Faculty members who are qualified to teach one or more of the following courses:
- Family Development
- Local, State, and Federal Government
- Family & Youth Services
- Family, Community, & Advocacy
- Ethics
- Statistics and Research
- Crisis & Techniques of Counseling
- Spanish for Helping Professionals
- Human Services Design & Evaluation
Qualifications:
- Masters or Ph.D. in Human Development or related fields (i.e. Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Sociology, Child and Family Development);
- Two years of experience teaching college level courses;
- Established record of teaching excellence and demonstrated leadership experience;
- One year of "on the job" experience required;
- One year of experience teaching at an accelerated degree-completion program preferred.
We are seeking candidates who have demonstrated commitment to the promotion of interdisciplinary work, teaching excellence, diversity, and possess a collaborative leadership style.
