Student Life
Arts & Culture
What would life be without the arts? At Peace, you won’t have to find out. Whether you’re a participant or a spectator, opportunities to experience music, art, dance, literature and theater are plentiful on our campus.
Long to sing a cantata? Hear a chorale? Play a piano? Music is a vital part of Peace life. Performances on campus showcase visiting musicians as well as our own talent: vocal and keyboard students in our Music Performance major.
If visual arts are more your style, you’ll have opportunities to pursue painting, photography and other artistic expression. Or perhaps you prefer to simply observe and study the talent of others, such as the frequently displayed work of students enrolled in our Graphic Design major.
Peace College Theater is a critically acclaimed program that produces classical and leading-edge dramas, musicals and comedies. You’ll find opportunities to explore the magic of theater as an extracurricular activity or as part of our Theater Studies concentration.
Students can also become involved in the Peace College Dance Company, which sponsors collaborative performances with the theater and music programs.
Peace also nurtures a strong literary tradition where students are encouraged to express themselves with words. You’ll also have the opportunity to hear renowned authors speak of their work through our lecture series. Click here to view the 2010-2011 Arts and Events Calendar.
