Paul Scherschel joined the William Peace University Advancement team in December 2021. He is responsible for fundraising, including annual giving, grants, major and planned giving, advancement services, donor stewardship, alumni relations, and strategic partnerships. In this position, Paul is committed to fostering relationships with current and potential supporters of William Peace University.
With twenty years of professional experience, including seventeen years in fundraising for healthcare and small private higher education institutions, Paul has a strong background in philanthropy and development. Before joining William Peace University, he played a key role in establishing and growing a foundation within a healthcare system, focusing on cardiovascular service lines across eight hospitals. He also developed a major gift program for the College of Nursing.
He has also been very active in various community and educational initiatives, including serving as a two-term elected trustee for a small municipality and on multiple nonprofit boards.
Paul is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE).
