My first-year priorities will start with reinforcing what makes Peace special: relationships, community, and students. I want to begin by listening deeply and broadly to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and partners, so I understand what the community values most, where it sees momentum, and where I can best support as we go forward together.
From there, we will focus on expanding access to a Peace education and enhancing the applied learning opportunities that equip students with relevant, durable skills, essential for career momentum. We will also meaningfully engage with our industry neighbors by inviting them as guest speakers in classes, working with students on capstone project challenges, and providing curriculum feedback so we can quickly grow partnerships that benefit students.
In year one, I also want to elevate Peace Online as a mission-aligned way to expand educational opportunity, especially for adult learners, veterans, active-duty military and their families, and working professionals who need flexible, student-focused programs that fit their lives. I want to highlight Peace Online as another way to strengthen employer partnerships by supporting accessible talent-development pipelines in emerging industries.
Finally, we will prioritize improving Peace’s visibility in its own backyard; strong local reputation and trust are built person-to-person, and they are essential to long-term success.
