Karen Dunton serves as the Vice President for Marketing, Communications & External Relations at William Peace University. In this role, she is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy to improve brand awareness and visibility, support enrollment growth, and strengthen alumni and community relations.
Before joining William Peace University, Dunton served as Vice President of Marketing for the North Carolina Courage (NWSL) and North Carolina FC (USL). She began her career in higher education at Meredith College where she worked for 19 years, culminating in the role of Director of Marketing. Dunton earned her bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Delaware. She holds certifications in search engine optimization and public information officer emergency management.
