William Peace University professor Matt Hodge has been recognized internationally for his research work.
Hodge, the Program Director & Associate Professor of Interdisciplinary Arts, was invited to research at four international academic conferences in four countries this year. Hodge did each presentation remotely.
Hodge presented “Nourishing the Mind: Art Therapy and Eating Disorders” at the International Conference on Arts & Humanities in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Hodge was awarded the Session Best Presentation Award for his presentation.
Hodge presented For the International Conference on Arts and Humanities in Lima, Peru, “Scripture and Stories: The Christianization of Famed Fairy Tales” in Lima, Peru.
For the International Arts in Society Conference , “Invisible Sounds: Profound Symbolism in Eugene Ionesco’s Absurdist Tragic Farce The Chairs” for the International Arts in Society Conference in Seoul, Korea.
Hodge also presented “Cultures and Commercialism: How the Success of Broadway’s The Lion King Constructs Itself on World Traditions” for the International DisNet Conference in Surrey, England.
Hodge’s background includes working with Grammy, Tony, and Emmy Award winners. Hodge has worked in professional theater, international television, award-winning films, and celebrity events.
Hodge earned his Bachelor of Arts in Theory and Composition and his MA in Music from Campbellsville University. Hodge also earned an MFA in Composition from Vermont College of Fine Arts.
