William Peace University honored 14 graduates from the School of Professional Studies (SPS) program in August.
The SPS program offers an accelerated, online degree program convenient for working adults — with or without prior college credits. Students can earn a degree in as little as one year.
Some of the August graduates are from the RN-to-BSN program, which confers a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing to students who are already Registered Nurses.
“All of the RN to BSN students who graduated in August worked very hard to complete their coursework requirements,” said Dr. Erica Jastrow, Assistant Professor and Department Chair. “Several were in the Nursing Leadership & Management class this summer and completed projects that focused on improving staff morale, self-care, and workplace violence which are all really important topics in healthcare right now. I know they will continue to be leaders in their organizations and in the profession of nursing.”
The SPS program was created in 2009, hoping to meet a community need that allowed students to work full-time and pursue a college degree.
