Peace Students to Participate in Interactive Media Showcase

Apr 8, 2024

Professors from William Peace University, N.C. State University and Wake Tech Community College will put on the Student Interactive Media Showcase.

The event will take place on April 12, from 3 – 7 p.m. inside Brooks Hall on the campus of N.C. State.

Along with Peace, students from six different colleges — NC State, Wake Technical College, High Point University, North Carolina A&T, UNC-Greensboro  — will get the opportunity to showcase the great work they’ve done at their respective schools.

“In previous years, our Peace SGD students have shown their work and presented at the East Coast Game Conference held here in Raleigh in March,” said Brandon Crews, Peace Assistant Professor of Simulation and Game Design. “This was a great opportunity for our students to network and show their work to employers. This event has been discontinued. Professors at NCSU, Wake Tech Community College, and myself have gotten together to build this SIMS event to give students that opportunity to showcase their work, potentially win awards, and network with related industries and other students.”

Students will present digital artwork such as 2D concept art, 3D models, animations, short films, and interactive projects such as playable video games.

The event will be free to the public.
